The birds & the bees

The kookaburras are laughing – that generally means that rain is coming.  But they’ve been laughing on and off for days!  We could do with some rain, although the hemp crop seems to be thriving without it and the bees are loving the hemp!

Australia Day at Bunjil Farm

A small family reunion with cousins on Australia Day – and everyone just picked up where they left off years ago!  A good time was had by all.  The icing on the cake was the cake itself, a surf scene being a rare sight at Bunjil.  Hazel was the first to dig in – she ate the shark straight off ……… never mess with Hazel!

Surf's Up !

Surf’s Up !

Meanwhile, the agapanthas are in full swing here and the bees are loving it.

Like most farms, we could do with a bit more rain but we don’t complain – there are stilGate and old treel some very pretty scenes.
